Celebrate Independence Day the classic way with a family-friendly community event full of charm and fun for all ages!
The festivities kick off with our beloved parade, featuring vintage cars, decorated golf carts, and kids and families walking or riding their decorated bikes. Then, head over to the park for a community party packed with activities and entertainment.

A Beloved Community Tradition Since 2017
Celebrate Independence Day with us at the annual King City 4th of July Parade—a festive tradition that brings neighbors and the community together!
The parade kicks off at the King City Community Association building and winds its way through the neighborhoods following the route shown.
This is a great chance to get outside, connect with neighbors, and celebrate as a community!

Grab a seat along the sidewalk of the parade route and cheer on your friends and neighbors!
Parade Schedule:
9:00 – 10:00 AM – Parade line up at KCCA
(15245 SW 116th Ave, King City, OR 97224)
If you plan to participate in the parade as a vintage car, golf cart, walker, or biker please arrive at the King City Community Association parking lot during this time to line up for the event.
10:00 AM – Parade Starts. The parade will begin at the start of the route at KCCA and make its way along the route to the King City Community Park. Estimated arrival time at the Park is 10:45 AM.
11:00 AM – Parade Finish. The parade is estimated to complete its return to KCCA around 11:00 AM.

** New this year – Please note the parade will split at the Park. Walkers/bikers will finish at the park location, whereas vintage cars and golf carts are encouraged to continue the return route to the KCCA parking lot **

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I rent a golf cart for the parade?
You can! If you’d like to rent a golf cart to decorate and use for the parade, reach out to Stephanie Hartman at (503) 332-5707
Do I need to sign up to participate in the Parade?
Event organizers are not asking for advanced sign ups. Just make sure to arrive during the parade staging time and we will get you lined up to participate!
Are dogs allowed in the parade or at the park party?
Dogs are welcome to attend as long as they are on leashes and well behaved.
What if I miss the parade staging/set up?
Those who want to participate as a vintage car or a golf cart in the parade must be present during the staging time to get lined up for the event. If you are not able to attend the staging portion ahead of time, we unfortunately cannot add you once the parade begins. Walkers and bikers are welcome to join us at any point along the route as we progress, so if you are running late, just meet us along the way!
Can I participate if I don’t live in King City?
Absolutely! The parade and party are open to all those in the surrounding area, so join in and invite your friends and family.
Access to bathrooms
The parade route will not have access to bathrooms, but once we arrive at King City Community Park, there will be outhouses available for use.
